A Letter To Our Community
Dear Cambutal Community,
We hope this message finds you well and filled with joy.
To start, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the community of Cambutal.
There are few places on earth where there exists a collective pursuit of the betterment of the community; through monthly community markets, eco-tours and adventures that empower local community members, small businesses that feed our need for pizza, coffee, fresh veggies and some retail therapy, plus art nights, pop-up dinners, classes that teach us what it means to indigenize, and local places where we all gather to enjoy a drink, the surf, and the sunset. Not to mention the coming Local market and Montessori school, both of which are committed to the concepts of community, inclusivity and connection. This truly is a precious place and we are so grateful to everyone who has welcomed us into our shared home.
We are humbled and excited to introduce La Colectiva, an exciting continuation of the legacy of Cambutal. Loren and Alicia have joined their dreams together to create La Colectiva, a co-work, movement and gathering space, designed to meet the growing needs of our town and encourage a lifestyle of holistic wellness.
La Colectiva is part co-working, part movement and a healing arts space.
The co-work space will provide consistent access to high-speed internet in an environment conducive to productivity, creativity and collaboration. We will provide private, sound-proof pods from which you can teach, live-stream classes or record your latest podcast. With ample space, you can choose to work privately at single tables, or as a group gathered around a communal table, or working comfortably next to a friend on the couch.
We know first hand the value of being in community while doing purpose-driven work. The energy and support we receive from other creators in the space only enhances our work and uplifts us all. Creating accessibility for all our community members is rooted in our value of growth and elevating the collective.
La Colectiva is also a healing space.
We will have a large movement room designed for regular yoga classes, consistently offered throughout the year. This space will also be open for you to host your own gatherings, whether you live here year-round, part-time, or are coming for a short visit. It is a place to share dance and movement, art classes, eco-awareness and educational workshops, reiki and Thai massage trainings, and more.
In addition to our movement space, we will also have bodywork and therapy rooms so that you as practitioners and as clients have a space to practice and to receive.
