Founder Story: Loren

Hi, there!

My name is Loren. I am a yoga student, teacher and founder of Flow Yoga International, a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training School. I am a licensed massage therapist and a body and energy work enthusiast. I am also an artist, a wannabe writer, a plant-based food lover, a partner to my wonderful husband, and a mother to our magical children.

My Sagittarius spirit lead me through years of travel, exploration, and self-discovery and, in 2017, I found Cambutal, a little-known paradise at the end of the road in the Pacific Coast of Panama, which I now call home.

I enjoy living a slow, simple and holistic life, balancing my days between working from home, sharing the practice of yoga in our community and online, offering bodywork, and spending time on the beach with my family. Over the years, our community in Cambutal has begun to bloom, with local friends and families becoming more interested in yoga and massage, and more intentional travelers making there way here in search of yoga classes and post-surf body work.

And so, the seeds of an idea were planted to create a community space for locals and travelers alike to connect through these healing arts. The idea marinated for a couple of years before I met Alicia. As our friendship started to grow, Alicia shared her dreams of opening a coworking and gathering space, but more than that, she shared the story of living each day as your “perfect day.” For both of us, that meant a day of inspired work, self-care, and time for family, in an idyllic setting, like Cambutal. And that is how La Colectiva was born; from a shared vision of living our dream lives, and deciding to create a space where others can tap into their own potential and live a motivated, connected, and fulfilling life.

I am so excited to open this space to you; to connect through the power and possibility of yoga, to share in the healing arts of body and energy work with you, and to walk alongside you as we live our best lives.

With much love and gratitude,

Loren
